The chef’s kitchen opens onto a stone fireplace and a deep, covered limestone porch. A ten-foot cowboy pool out back heats and chills on a button, anywhere from 65 to 102 degrees, filled with filtered rainwater and included in the rate, not billed as an extra.
Furnishings come from Crate & Barrel, CB2, Article, Williams Sonoma and West Elm. The primary suite has a walk-in closet and a spa bath with a soaking tub and dual rain showers. A Peloton sits in the bunk room, Denon surround sound runs through the living area, and there is a dedicated workspace for anyone working remotely. Booked alone, the ten wooded acres behind the house come with it.
Take only the house you need. All 4,300 square feet are yours either way — you simply choose how many bedrooms come with it. Four bedrooms sleeps eight, from $575 a night. Five bedrooms sleeps twelve, adds the bunk room with its Peloton, from $699. Bedrooms outside your booking stay locked, and no other guests ever share the house with you.

A one-bedroom cottage behind an eight-foot cedar fence draped in evergreen vine, with three to four private wooded acres of its own. The king Helix bed is dressed in Egyptian cotton, the kitchen is stocked with cast iron cookware and a pour-over coffee bar, and a record player with curated vinyl sits in the reading nook alongside board games.
The cowboy pool heats and chills on a button from 65 to 102 degrees, rainwater-fed and sand-filtered, with loungers, an umbrella and string lights under the oaks. A short dog-walking trail and a fenced dog run are reserved for guesthouse guests, waste bags and paw wipes included at no charge. Five minutes to Hays City Store and Wimberley Valley Winery, fifteen to Blue Hole and Jacob’s Well.
